Goal

Customer would like to get some documentation on how the cfg_state_cd field in the s_asset_item and the s_asset_item_xa table gets populated.

They understand the list of values (e.g Saved Item, Engine Picked Item, User Requested Item etc), but they would like to understand the rules that dictate what value tie out to what conditions. Meaning when is it set to Saved Item, Engine Picked Item, User Requested Item etc.

They use eConfigurator with Group Policies. Currently customer is experiencing an inconsistent behavior that appears to be tied to the values in this field. For e.g. they can see data in the group policies list view (products and attributes), but when they render that through eConfigurator, they all appear as blanks.
