Upgrading Tables with CIAI Columns on DB2 UDB from Siebel Version 8.0 to Siebel Version 8.1 (Doc ID 553429.1)

One of the enhancements in Siebel Business Applications, Version 8.0 was a new Case-Insensitive and Accent-Insensitive (CIAI) search. Implementation of this search requires changes on database schema levels (new columns, indexes, and triggers). During an upgrade to Siebel 8.1, the DDLIMP upgrade utility fails to rebuild tables with CIAI columns and triggers. This error may be encountered on DB2 UDB platform and will be addressed in future releases.

NOTE: This bulletin should be used only if you have all the following conditions satisfied:

• You are upgrading from Siebel Version 8.0x to Siebel Version 8.1
• Your RDBMS platform is DB2 UDB
• You have enabled CIAI in Siebel 8.0
