Server Component Jobs doesn't update status properly (Doc ID 578588.1)

Symptoms

Server jobs remains in 'Active' status after the job completes.

After restarting the Siebel Server (or only SRProc) all requests that are 'Active' will be put back into 'Queued' state and will be processed again. This may result in different scenarios (emails being sent twice, invoices being imported twice or workflows running twice)

SRProc doesn't report any failure in it's log file.
