The goal of this document is to explain how to create compare to person criteria that can be used to assess a dynamic (frequently changing) value on the Employee business component. This allows this field on the Employee business component to be checked as "compare to person" criteria in the assignment rule. This does not use skills as would exist in compare object to person.
For example purposes, I am going to describe a scenario where the Boolean column X_SEV1_ASSGN has been added to the S_EMP_PER table. Employees with a Y in this field are the only employees who can be assigned severity 1 service requests. Customer populates this field dynamically -based on changing business circumstances, so maintaining as a skill would be cumbersome and require costly rule releases in assignment manager. In this type of scenario, the best option would be to create a compare to person criteria to allow only the current group of users with this value to be considered.
