Last updated on JANUARY 31, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel CTI - Version 8.0 [20405] and later
Generic UNIX

Symptoms

CTI driver  does not get loaded if the CTI driver file libaicd.so is located under Siebel bin directory on Solaris. However it has been observed that the driver gets loaded if the driver file libaicd.so is placed in the Siebel lib on Solaris

Prior to Siebel 8.0, no issue was faced when the driver file wad placed under Siebel bin directory.

- As per Oracle documentation for Siebel 8.0 - https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14004_01/books/SiebCTIAdm/SiebCTIAdm_CommDrivers6.html#wp1005044 , the following is documented:

"Communications driver files are located by default in the bin subdirectory of the Siebel Server. You can store them in another directory, if you specify an absolute path."
