Purpose

This document provides technical details on how is the eLoyalty Processing Engine – Batch (LoyEngineBatch) component automatically starting the number of tasks specified in “LOY - Engine Number of Tasks” parameter of LoyEngineBatch.

Scope

This document provides information on how can the “LOY - Engine Number of Tasks” (LOYEngineNumberOfTasks) parameter be used, for server component LoyEngineBatch, in order to automatically start the desired number of threads.

This document assumes that the reader is familiar with the initialization modalities of the Loyalty Btach Engine described in following Bookshelf sections:  Siebel Loyalty Administration Guide > Getting Started with Siebel Loyalty > Setting Up Server Components for Siebel Loyalty > Starting the Batch Server Component:
a) To use a workflow to initialize the server component
b) To initialize the server component manually
