Dynamic predefault value for a field depending on current applet (Doc ID 878718.1)

Symptoms


Goal:

Using Aspect user properties, a field shall receive specific predefault values based on a condition.

Scenario:

A test scenario was set up:

Applet "Contact List Applet":

User Properties:
Name: View Aspect: Visible Contact List View
Value: Option1

Name: View Aspect: Contact Administration View
Value: Option2

BC "Contact" > Field "Job Title":

User Properties:
Name: Aspect Default Value: Option1
Value: Predefault1

Name: Aspect Default Value: Option2
Value: Predefault2

Issue:

When creating a new record in either of the two views, the Job Title field remains empty.

Expected behavior:

The Job Title field should be predefaulted with either "Predefault1" or "Predefault2", depending on the view in which the new record was created.
