Goal

An external business component was configured for an external table that included a date column.
The date column includes the time information.
The external business component (EBC) worked fine except that querying on the date field would always return no records.
This happens because the Siebel application would always include the "default" time of "00:00:00" in any query on the date field.

How can the EBC or a regular Business Component (BC) query up the date field without having the date format use the default time of midnight?
