This document is a quick reference for configuring Jumbo Frames with the Sun 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface using the ixge driver on SPARC with Solaris 9 and 10. It gives examples of configuring just the primary ixge interface or all ixge interfaces.

The variable 'accept-jumbo' enables the driver to instruct the upper layers that the driver is operating in Jumbo Frames mode. If mtu is not specified the jumbo frame mtu will be set to 8000 but the complete size will be 8192 (includes header, maximum payload and CRC).
