Solaris Cluster 3.x Improve Network File System (NFS) availability when multiple NFS resources are configured
(Doc ID 1003743.1)
Last updated on MAY 09, 2024
Applies to:
Solaris Cluster - Version 3.0 to 3.3 U2 [Release 3.0 to 3.3]All Platforms
Goal
The current implementation of High Availability-Network File System (HA-NFS) may, under certain conditions, degrade the NFS service on a
node with an out-of-the-box configuration. This can be greatly improved with fairly easy measures.
This is only valid when multiple NFS services are configured in different Resource Groups. Or in the rare event when separate NFS services are
provided both within and outside the cluster, that is, /etc/dfs/dfstab is used and NFS Resources are configured in the cluster.
