StorageTek [TM] Availability Suite; After Short Network Outages StorageTek Network Data Replication (SNDR) Does Not Automatically Resume Replication (Doc ID 1003916.1)

After a short network outage in the network path used for StorageTeK Network Data Replication (SNDR) between the SNDR-master and the SNDR-slave.


For example, a 4 second network problem, we see error messages like the following in /var/adm/messages and /var/adm/ds.log:




Normally system administrators would expect the replication to resume automatically once the network link recovers.

The expected state would be "replicating" if replication had resumed after the network outage.




When the replication set was originally configured, the administrator did not setup the replication to automatically resume

after any network outages are fixed.
