Goal

This document describes a process to create a filelist of files to include in a flash archive.

This may be best utilized when creating multiple or layered archives. The process described below creates a layered or multiple archive installation on a single client.

Detailed JumpStart[TM] setup is outside the scope of this document. Refer to the Advanced Installation Guide for Solaris[TM] 8, or the Installation Guide for Solaris[TM] 9 for JumpStart instructions, or Solaris{TM} 10 Installation Guide: Custom JumpStart and Advanced Installations. This documentation also contains details on the usage of flar and flarcreate. You may also refer to the man pages for flar[1M] and flarcreate[1M].
