Goal
On a serial console port, voltage changes can be interpreted by the host system to be a "break" signal that brings the system to the "ok" prompt. These erroneous breaks are created by plugging or removing cables or powering on/off terminal servers, dumb terminal or laptops that are acting as a terminal. This expected behavior. This document explains how to reconfigure the behavior on the host system.
