Symptoms
When a Server is booted with any one of the Hardware RAID product arrays attached, Raid Manager (any version) is loaded on the system and will start up during the boot process. Included in the startup of Raid Manager is the execution of the /etc/init.d/amdemon script. When the script is executed, it will report the following error:
- The message definition file was not found.c1t5d0s01T951#####
- The message definition file was not found.
The system completes its bootup and everything appears to be OK with RM6. Health check passes, LUNs are optimal and there is access to data.
Changes
The error messages are generated when an nvutil (/usr/lib/osa/bin/nvutil -v -f) command is executed from the /etc/init.d/amdemon script.
