Solaris Secure Shell (SSH) session generates message: "ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host"

It is possible that this message is only seen for certain users or hosts. It may also happen that this problem is sporadic.

/etc/hosts.allow or /etc/hosts.deny may have been updated recently and/or have entries blocking certain hosts.

Or, the workload (number of incoming connections from clients) may have gone up recently.
