Applies to:
Sun Storage Ultra3 SCSI PCI HBA, 2 Port - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release N/A]All Platforms
Symptoms
The Sun StorEdge PCI Dual Ultra3 SCSI Host Adapter Card has been installed into a server, followed by the attachment of a storage (tape or disk) device. The initial verification step of probe-scsi-all is performed. In this example, the HBA sees an attached Sun Storedge 3310 Array. A reconfiguration reboot is performed. However, no storage devices are created in Solaris. Utilities such as devfsadm and drvconfig also fail to make the devices.
The list of supported hardware for this HBA may be found in the System Handbook for the PCI Dual Ultra3 SCSI Host Adapter card.
Changes
Typically, this is a new installation of the HBA into the server, or new storage (tape or disk) has been attached to the HBA.
