Goal

Description

Upon a change in version or a change in the OS base kernel revision, Availability Suite must be removed and installed on the system in question.

The following is a basic set of guidelines and a procedure for updating the OS or Availability Suite.
Base version examples are Solaris[TM] 8 or Solaris 9.

If you are updating the base version to a newer revision, you do not need to worry about Availability Suite.

The reason for this procedure is that the libraries depend on the OS version installed.
