This instruction covers:

The configuration of serial consoles (headless) on systems with generic RS-232 serial ports.
For example: the DB-25 and DB-9 "D-shell" style and some RJ-45 style found on systems
including, but not limited to:

Sun Enterprise[tm] 220R Server
Sun Enterprise[tm] 420R Server
Sun Enterprise[tm] 250 Server
Sun Enterprise[tm] 450 Server
Sun Fire[tm] 280R Server
Sun Blade 1500 Workstation
Sun Ultra 5, 10, 60, 80 Workstations

This instruction does NOT cover the configuration system serial connections which are designed for console access only.
For example: of ILOM/ALOM/SC/SERMGT/XSCF/RSC serial connections.
