This document provides a matrix of device paths recognized by Solaris Operating System (OS), for the following Sun SPARC server platforms.

NOTE:  If you require x64/x86 system device path information please utilize Document 277396.1 instead.
NOTE: there are specific platform docs also. The aim of this doc is to collect all the SPARC platform in a single entry point. Doc specific for a platform may contain further details.

At OpenBoot   PROM (OBP), the device name may be slightly different. Typically, the OBP uses 'disk' and ' cdrom' aliases for the boot disk and CDROM drive, where Solaris OS may use a different name/alias for the same device.

The overall device path is the same for both OBP and Solaris OS. The difference is seen at the device position at the end of the path.
