Goal
The purpose of this document is to explain how to change a system's hostname and/or IP address without running the sys-unconfig command since this will restore the system's configuration to an "as-manufactured" state, ready to be reconfigured again. See the sys-unconfig(1M) man page for more information regarding the changes which this command makes to the system.
