Goal

How to enable CDE remote services after secure install.

Solaris 10 Update 3 (11/06) has a new feature to disable remote network services. This can be accomplished by choosing "yes" during installation to "Disable Remote Services" and through launching the "/usr/sbin/netservices" script. This script impacts many network services, but also disables users from the ability to use the "Remote Host" login option from the dtlogin screen.

If one wishes to re-enable the Remote Host ability, there are serveral modifications that need to be the following SMF services.
