Solaris Cluster 3.x ‘cfgadm unconfigure’ Failed to Offline Device/Disk with "Component system is busy, try again" (Doc ID 1008145.1)

In a Solaris Cluster 3.x environment when using Just a Bunch Of Disks (JBOD) or internal SCSI disk this issue can occur.

Issuing a "cfgadm uncofigure" command in order to replace a JBOD or internal SCSI disk may at times fail with the following error:

This can also happen to a non-shared local disk on a  Solaris Cluster node.
