lpstat(1) reports 'waiting for auto-retry' and Users Can't Print (Doc ID 1008968.1)

This document only applies to network printers configured using Solaris commands with the "netstandard" or "netstandard_foomatic" interface script. Serial, parallel, usb, or printers configured using third party software are not affected by the following information.


Users are unable to print to a networked printer and "lpstat -lp <queuename>" reports the status of the printer as "waiting for auto-retry", similar to the following:
