This document is used to diagnosis various Solaris Management Console startup failures.

  • SMC hangs on startup "Configuring the Management server"
  • SMC fails to start
  • SMC errors with related messages failing to "load toolbox"
  • SMC "cannot connect to the server" error
  • SMC login rejected due to invalid user id or password


This purpose of this document is to address situations where SMC hangs, fails to start, or produces errors preventing the application to properly launch.
