"PLOGI failed" after add EMC Storage on SAN (Doc ID 1011258.1)

Symptoms

In the following hardware/software configuration environment:

EMC CX500 CLARiiON connected to Sun[TM] Server with Solaris[TM] Operating System via an Emulex host bus adapter and Emulex lightpulse host bus adapter driver.

After the EMC array has been attached to the SAN and a zone created between the server and the EMC CX500

Once "cfgadm -c configure <controler_id>" has been executed, the system will report the following error messages
