Goal

Sometimes there is a need to change the default location from which the system boots up.

How is the SPARCstation 2 configured to always boot from a particular partition?

How is the SS2 set up to always boot from the sd3g partition?

The disk may be partitioned with sd3b for swap and sd3g for the remainder.

A custom disk alias should be made and set to be the boot device:
