Description
Sun based SunOS 4.x and earlier versions of the operating system on the BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) version of UNIX[R]. When Sun migrated to SunOS 5.x, which is based on UNIX
System V Release 4 (SVR4), Sun packaged the older BSD commands as part of the SunOS/BSD Compatibility Package. These BSD commands can be found under the /usr/ucb directory. Some system administrators prefer to use these older BSD binaries but may not know where to find the man pages for these commands.
This document will discuss how to view these man pages.
