Symptoms

There are times when Sun StorEdge[TM] Enterprise NetBackup software, sends the MOVE MEDIUM command to a tape library, too soon after sending the REWIND/UNLOAD command to a drive. The library will attempt to move thetape cartridge back to its home cell, before the drive has actually ejected the cartridge. The drive has not ejected the cartridge, because it hasn't completed all the steps required, in a REWIND/UNLOADoperation.

The library will try to move the cartridge, and find that the drive is still rewinding. The library will post an FSC (FSC3E24 or 3E2(x)) to it's FSC log and go on to it's next command.

The end result is, that the drive is downed by the Sun StorEdge Enterprise NetBackUp software, and the tape cartridge is left in the drive, ready to be dismounted.
