Why does mountd sometimes deny access to NFS clients? (Doc ID 1012224.1)

 The mountd daemon is denying mount access to clients which should be allowed access, per the NFS access controls setup in the /etc/dfs/dfstab share commands.

Messages similar to:

  mountd[331]: [ID 770583 daemon.error] <host> denied access <shared filesystem> 

are reported when the client <host> attempts access.
