Solaris 10 svcadm enable sar fails to start sar due to crontabs file permission (Doc ID 1012484.1)

Symptoms

On attempting to start SAR by performing:

# svcadm enable sar

the following error is found in the log file /var/svc/log/system-sar:default.log

[ Jan 12 15:26:17 Executing start method ("/lib/svc/method/svc-sar start") ]
/lib/svc/method/svc-sar: /var/spool/cron/crontabs/sys: cannot create
