Symptoms

IFCC's Due To Device Level Protocol Errors 0n 4 GB FICON Channels.
You may experience messages similar to this listed below when reading cartridges on channels that are 4 GB capable. 
The data rate does not have to be 4 GB's, however all our current T9x40 FICON devices will operate okay at 2 GB data rates on these 4 GB capable channels.
