Symptoms

Drive is assigned elsewhere.
Virtual mounts are not happening.
Virtual dismounts are not happening.
Physical mounts are not occurring.
Physical dismounts are not happening.
Tapes are not being dismounted.
Tapes are not being mounted.

Possible messages for this problem are:
IOS000I dddd,xx,ASE,xx,xxx
SLS4087I Dismount request for drive xxxx found drive loaded on dismount; request terminated
SLS4087I Dismount request for drive xxxx found drive loaded on scan; request terminated
SLS0681I ORH interval expired: ACS xx, SEQNO xxxxx, ACT, (hex string)
SLS5079E Mount of volser on xxxx - Failed (12) - Drive already has a VTV mounted
SLS0081I Volume volser found mounted on drive xxxx - attempting dismount
SLS0130I Drive xxxx found full while attempting mount of volser
