ACSLS - Netbackup robtest is failing; acsss_event.log shows STATUS_NI_TIMEDOUT errors (Doc ID 1014099.1)

Symptoms

1. The NetBackup robtest utility is failing with a  STATUS_PENDING error

2. ACSLS is sending response packets to its own IP address

3. The acsss_event.log is showing these messages:

     ONC RPC: st_send_packet(): Sending first response to client 129.80.55.234
     2085 N csi_client_proc.c 1 145
     ONC RPC: csi_client_proc(): status;STATUS_NI_TIMEDOUT;
     Discarding packet for client 129.80.55.234 with SSI identifier of 222


4. In most cases the CSI logs this error in acsss_event.log:

    2014-08-13 00:48:33 CSI[0]:
    1024 N csi_client_proc.c 1 503
    ONC RPC: st_send_packet(): status:STATUS_NI_FAILURE; failed: clnt_call()
    Cannot send message to NI:discarded, RPC: Program/version mismatch
    Errno = 1 (Not owner)
    Remote Internet address: 129.80.55.234, Port: 32771

 

Note:  129.80.55.234 is the ACSLS host's IP address
