Goal

This document describes how ACSLS auto-cleans drives in serial or network/TCP-IP attached tape libraries.

ACSLS does not have the auto-clean feature available for drives in SCSI/Fibre attach libraries.
Drives in SCSI/Fibre attach libraries can be auto-cleaned by setting the auto-clean feature on the library HW.
Some client applications have features to manage auto-cleaning, as well.
