ACSLS - Getting Error "Volume Access Denied" (Doc ID 1014991.1)

Symptoms

Mount and Query requests from acsapi clients are failing with "Access denied" messages.  Example from
acsss_event.log:
2005-01-20 08:13:40 QUERY[0]:
728 N cl_ac_vol_access.c 1 251
cl_ac_vol_access: Volume Access Denied
Command , Volume , Host ID <111.222.333.444>, Access ID



Backup application volume inventory and vault operations fail.
 
 

Changes

Any of these changes may have occurred:
1. A new backup application media server was added to the configuration.
2. ACSLS was re-installed server b ecause of a server crash or some unrecoverable error in ACSLS
3. Volume access files (namely, internet.addresses and users.ALL.allow) were updated incorrectly or
    incorrect owner ID assigned to volumes..
