Symptoms

Note:  This problem has been reported on an ACSLS 7.x server with Informix database.  The solution, however, is relevant for later ACSLS releases with the Postgre/SQL database.

1.  Error message in rc.acsss:
WARNING: System hostname has changed from 'server03' to 'server04'.
The new hostname must replace the old one in the Informix sqlhosts file.
As 'root' you will need to edit the last line in the file
     /export/home/informix/IDS7.3/etc/sqlhosts

2. db_command start shows:
    /export/home/ACSSS/bin/db_startup.sh: /dev/null: cannot create

3. rc.acsss shows:
   rc.acsss: /dev/null: cannot create
