ACSLS - Database will Not Start After Solaris 9 Patches were Installed. (Doc ID 1015197.1)

Symptoms

The following error messages are displayed when the ACSLS start up script, rc.acsss, runs:
Unable to open input file 's'
Unable to open input file 'c'

The following error messages are logged in lib6_online.log found in ~acsss/log directory:
Error: Exception Caught. Type: MT_EX_OS, Context: mem
Error: PANIC: Attempting to bring system down

The onstat.out file found in the ACSLS output tarfile would show this error message:
shared memory not initialized for INFORMIXSERVER 'lib6serv'
