ACSLS - Error 2208 Could not Install Informix - Fatal Error Occurred in Shared Memory Initialization (Doc ID 1016516.1)

Symptoms

1.  Installation fails

2.  Running install.sh and getting "Fatal error occurred in shared memory initialization"

3.  Error 2208 Could not install Informix

4.  acsss_event.log shows:
     A significant Informix event has happened, contact Storage Technologies Support:
     Internal Subsystem failure: 'MT'


5.  lib6_online.log may also show:
    The chunk '/export/home/informix/IDS7.3/data/data' must have owner-ID "informix" and group-ID "other".
    Assert Failed: physio: not open
    Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UC7
    Who: Session(1, root@usmghlegato1, 0, 172490776)
    Thread(7, main_loop(), a458018, 1)

    Assert Failed: physio: not open


6.  install.sh error messages:
    Fatal error occurred in shared memory initialization
    install.sh 2208: Error: Could not install informix. Exiting.

7.  lib6_online.log shows
     Error: Unable to reset open files limit, must run as super-user
     Event alarms enabled. ALARMPROG = '/export/home/informix/IDS7.3/etc/log_full.sh'
     Assert Failed: net_init.c, line 319, thread 1, errno=13, error in creating /INFORMIXTMP.
