Goal

At times, it's necessary or ideal to add a 2nd, 3rd or 4th archive copy for files in a SAM-FS filesystem. However, with hundreds of thousands, millions, or sometimes tens of millions of files in a filesystem, we will need to throttle the archiving process to avoid over-consuming system resources.

This document will assist in this task of configuring an additional archive copy without overwhelming the I/O on the system.
