Goal

Description

Support exists for mixed spindle speeds in Sun Storage 3120, 3310 ,3320, 3510 and 3511 Arrays and Expansion Units.

The current supported disk drives have a rotation speed of 10,000 and 15,000 revolutions per minute (RPM).

Prior documentation noted mixing capacity, but not spindle speeds was supported.*

This document is to notify that mixed spindle speeds are supported provided certain rules are adhered to as explained below.
