Goal
This document is used to demonstrate the package database is consistent and there is no package corruption or missing information.
Symptoms
- The patchadd and pkgadd utilities will yield errors if the package database is in an inconsistent state or if package information is missing.
- The patchadd and pkgadd process will fail if it detects missing files in the package database or missing information with the installed packages.
Purpose/Scope
For troubleshooting and maintenance purposes, it may be necessary to demonstrate the package database is consistent and package information is not missing to ensure a successful patching process.
