Goal
When a patch installation fails unexpectedly, it should be automatically uninstalled. Uninstalling a patch intends to undo the changes it applied when it was installed. However, sometimes a patch may not be completely uninstalled and, hence, introduces inconsistencies between the package and patch database and the existing files installed on disk.
Purpose/Scope:
This document describes how to verify all patch files are uninstalled from the previous failed patch installation.
Symptoms:
Inconsistency between the package and patch database and the existing files installed on disk.
