Goal
This document provides links to information on how to replace a failed disk in a ZFS root pool, and how create a ZFS root mirror after installation of Oracle Solaris.
Symptoms
- A root pool disk is failing
- The root pool is too small and you want to replace a smaller disk with a larger disk.
or
- You need to add a mirror device to the ZFS root pool (rpool)
