Messages SMC0144 and SMC0145 are Issued for T10K Drives (Doc ID 1020999.1)

Sun StorageTek Storage Management Component (SMC) - Version 6.1 and later
IBM z/OS on System z

Symptoms

Messages SMC0144 and SMC0145 are issued for T10K drives.
Messages SMC0132 and SMC0231 may also be issued.
Tape mounted on the device is rewinding and unloading.
Tape being rewound was used at or near capacity.
Mount completes with no operator intervention a short time after the message.
