Goal

Fast Crash Dump is a feature that reduces the time it takes to save a crash dump and reduces its size. This document describes this new feature introduced in OpenSolaris Developer Build 127, OpenSolaris 2010.04 and Solaris 10 Update 9 (142909-17 SPARC/142910-17 x86). Once you have reviewed this document you will understand how it is implemented, how to set it up, how to work with it and what it's limitations are.
