SMC 7.0 Client Unable to Communicate with ELS 7.0 HTTP Server (Doc ID 1131333.1)

Symptoms

SMC 7.0 client cannot communicate with the server.
Messages SMC0217 is issued on the server when SMC client attempts to communicate with the server.
Message SMC0217 indicates a takesocket error.

Changes

Possible changes that can result in this problem are:

  1. Upgrade to ELS 7.0 from lower release.
  2. New ELS 7.0 install.
  3. Just installed z/OS maintenance.
