Solaris Cluster How to Disable Startup of a Resource Group with 'Auto_start_on_new_cluster' Flag upon Cluster Reboot (Doc ID 1156646.1)

Goal

This document describes how to disable and re-enable auto starting of a Solaris Cluster resource group after all cluster nodes are rebooted, by modifying the parameter "Auto_start_on_new_cluster" .  This would be useful to prevent the  start up of a resource group(s) on a reboot for trouble shooting purposes.

Procedures (A) is used to disable auto start up while procedure (C) is used to re-enable the auto start up:

 (A) Using the old command "scrgadm" for Sun Cluster 3.1 and below or "clrg (clresourcegroup)"  the newer command that is available in Solaris Cluster 3.2 and above.
 (C) Steps to re-enable auto start up of Resource Group
