When using Oracle's Virtual Desktop Client, Ctrl+Alt+Del is Passed to Physical Machine, not the Windows VM (Doc ID 1275909.1)

Last updated on APRIL 25, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Desktop Client - Version 2.0 to 3.2 [Release 2.0 to 3.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When using the Oracle Virtual Desktop Connector (OVDC) to connect to a Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) server, it provides the functionality to access Microsoft Windows sessions.  The same functionality can be achieved by logging via OVDC and connecting to a Windows session using the Sun Ray Windows Connector.

When users enter the key sequence: CTRL+ALT+DEL, intending to bring up the Task List on the remote Windows session, they may find that this key sequence is captured locally by the windows client and not passed on as intended.

NOTE:  Users may also see that the remote session also gets the CTRL+ALT+DEL.
