Purpose

There are several conditions that can affect the performance of a Fibre Channel (FC) Host Bust Adapter (HBA) in the system. These conditions can be random, when related to unstable hardware (anywhere in the link), or deterministic, when related to I/O loading of a storage device that's not able to handle the load. This knowledge document presents several factors that can affect the performance, and some helpful recommendations to identify and resolve such contributing factors.
