ACSLS - Informix Database's Primary Chunk is Offline

Symptoms
The following facts are observed when the primary chunk of the ACSLS Informix dbspace is offline:
1. The ACSLS version that is running is ACSLS 7.1 and earlier, using the Informix database.
2. ACSLS is configured for Second Disk backup and uses Informix mirroring feature.
3. ACSLS unexpectedly terminates due to database failure errors.
4. The rootdbs primary chunk is offline and ACSLS is running on the mirrored chunk. Here is a sample onstat -d output:
Note: PD means 'primary - down'
MO means 'mirror - online'
Changes
The Informix database went down after the informix and lib6 passwords expired.
